Narrative:
This flight was a re-positioning flight from teterboro to white plains to pick up the boss. Takeoff and flight normal. On landing used moderate brakes to make taxiway turnoff for traffic on short final behind us. Taxied about 1 min to park, set brakes. About 2 seconds later, lineman starts jumping and waving and I finally saw him mouth fire. I left my seat and opened door, looked out at left main and saw 1 1/2 ft tall fire burning on left brake assembly. Told other pilot, 'we're leaving' and realized location of onboard fire extinguisher was not conveniently located. Took step out of door just as other lineman used dry chemical extinguisher to put out fire. Fire burned no more than 15 seconds. Wheel and brake assembly was replaced and aircraft returned to service. Kudos to heads up lineman. We are relocating fire extinguisher to a place where it's easily accessible to both pilots, even though it is in perfectly legal place now. Brakes will be torn down to see what exact problem was. Appear to be dragging brake at this time.

Title: A CPR JET HAS A L BRAKE FIRE AFTER ENGS SHUT DOWN AND BRAKES PARKED AT THE RAMP AT HPN, NY.
Narrative: THIS FLT WAS A RE-POSITIONING FLT FROM TETERBORO TO WHITE PLAINS TO PICK UP THE BOSS. TKOF AND FLT NORMAL. ON LNDG USED MODERATE BRAKES TO MAKE TXWY TURNOFF FOR TFC ON SHORT FINAL BEHIND US. TAXIED ABOUT 1 MIN TO PARK, SET BRAKES. ABOUT 2 SECONDS LATER, LINEMAN STARTS JUMPING AND WAVING AND I FINALLY SAW HIM MOUTH FIRE. I LEFT MY SEAT AND OPENED DOOR, LOOKED OUT AT L MAIN AND SAW 1 1/2 FT TALL FIRE BURNING ON L BRAKE ASSEMBLY. TOLD OTHER PLT, 'WE'RE LEAVING' AND REALIZED LOCATION OF ONBOARD FIRE EXTINGUISHER WAS NOT CONVENIENTLY LOCATED. TOOK STEP OUT OF DOOR JUST AS OTHER LINEMAN USED DRY CHEMICAL EXTINGUISHER TO PUT OUT FIRE. FIRE BURNED NO MORE THAN 15 SECONDS. WHEEL AND BRAKE ASSEMBLY WAS REPLACED AND ACFT RETURNED TO SVC. KUDOS TO HEADS UP LINEMAN. WE ARE RELOCATING FIRE EXTINGUISHER TO A PLACE WHERE IT'S EASILY ACCESSIBLE TO BOTH PLTS, EVEN THOUGH IT IS IN PERFECTLY LEGAL PLACE NOW. BRAKES WILL BE TORN DOWN TO SEE WHAT EXACT PROB WAS. APPEAR TO BE DRAGGING BRAKE AT THIS TIME.
