Narrative:

I had limited visual access to the cabin, and they only noticed cabin lights going on and off in irregular intervals. I saw 1 'flash-like' burst of light that seemed to come from the ceiling panel above a seat. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated the aircraft returned to the gate where maintenance corrected the malfunctioning cabin lighting. The reporter said in addition to the cabin lighting flashing 1 or more lighting control panels were flashing, also corrected by maintenance. The reporter stated the flight departed 1 hour late.
