Narrative:
Aircraft #1 was on an IFR flight plan from cae to sms. Upon having contact with ATC, I switched from shaw AFB to local frequency about 1 mi out from sms. Did not hear any traffic on 122.90 and called my approach to runway. After landing on runway 23 I noticed a cessna 152 pulled off to the edge of the runway, heading in the opposite direction. I went to the ramp. The C152 followed. I talked with the C152 pilot. He had just landed on runway 5 (which was being used as the active runway). I looked at my radio and found that it should have been set to 122.8. The C152 pilot reported that he had announced his approach on runway 5. I should have rechked my frequency for unicom, and I should have broken off my approach of a straight-in and flown the traffic pattern.

Title: C182 LNDG SMS EXPERIENCES CONFLICT WITH C152 LNDG OPPOSITE DIRECTION, REQUIRED TO EXIT THE RWY TO MINIMIZE THE CONFLICT.
Narrative: ACFT #1 WAS ON AN IFR FLT PLAN FROM CAE TO SMS. UPON HAVING CONTACT WITH ATC, I SWITCHED FROM SHAW AFB TO LCL FREQ ABOUT 1 MI OUT FROM SMS. DID NOT HEAR ANY TFC ON 122.90 AND CALLED MY APCH TO RWY. AFTER LNDG ON RWY 23 I NOTICED A CESSNA 152 PULLED OFF TO THE EDGE OF THE RWY, HEADING IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION. I WENT TO THE RAMP. THE C152 FOLLOWED. I TALKED WITH THE C152 PLT. HE HAD JUST LANDED ON RWY 5 (WHICH WAS BEING USED AS THE ACTIVE RWY). I LOOKED AT MY RADIO AND FOUND THAT IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN SET TO 122.8. THE C152 PLT RPTED THAT HE HAD ANNOUNCED HIS APCH ON RWY 5. I SHOULD HAVE RECHKED MY FREQ FOR UNICOM, AND I SHOULD HAVE BROKEN OFF MY APCH OF A STRAIGHT-IN AND FLOWN THE TFC PATTERN.
