Narrative:
Aircraft was released from ZZZ to YYY with no MEL's. Aircraft had come out of maintenance at ZZZ maintenance base. Upon arriving at YYY, I handed the log to the mechanic meeting the flight. As I stepped out in the jetway, I overheard him say, it doesn't look like the MEL was cleared. I then went over to investigate. I then called dispatch and maintenance control for a conference call. The dispatcher and mrs X were working maintenance control. She verified that she had just added the MEL, but had no other details as to why it was not added before the flight. She said she would investigate and would get back to me on may/fri/03. I called on may/fri/03, and she was not working. The person I talked to said the MEL was added on may/tue/03, and was good to may/fri/03. There's no way to tell in the computer when the MEL really was added.
