Narrative:

I was called out for a day trip that my records indicate I was legal 30 hours/7 days to fly. My records are based on the ACARS located in the aircraft I am flying. There can be discrepancies from what we show in the cockpit for block times and the crew computer. It has been my experience to use the ACARS in the cockpit because it shows aircraft movement (for block hours). My company needs to resolve these times discrepancies. Then events like this would not take place. The aircraft movement is logged in the cockpit. Door closed 'may be' logged in crew computer. It varies! It depends on what aircraft I am flying.
