Narrative:

It is possible that I inadvertently entered the tfr at dodger stadium, los angeles, ca. At approximately XA00, I obtained a WX briefing through duats. I noted the tfr at disneyland in anaheim, ca. I do not recall seeing any mention of a tfr at dodger stadium. Approximately 3 weeks prior, I had spoken with a WX briefer at 1-800-wxbrief. I was planning a flight from vny to ful, and wanted information on, among other things, the tfr at disneyland. The briefer explained other potential tfr's in southern california. The briefer told me that there were no other tfr's in southern california. I interpreted that to mean that other than the usual sits, there would be no tfr's at dodger stadium, universal studios, six flags, etc, and that my only obligation was to refrain from loitering near such venues. Approximately XC00, I arrived at vny and conducted a preflight inspection of the aircraft. Approximately XD15, I departed vny. The purpose of the flight was sight-seeing. Prior to departure, I obtained ATIS information from vny. After sight-seeing at several locations in the area, my passenger wanted to see dodger stadium. Though I was unaware of the tfr, I was generally aware of the heightened security issues following the september 11 terrorist attack. I therefore did not overfly dodger stadium. I maintained a wide berth around the stadium, and transitioned from the hollywood area south toward downtown los angeles. During my flight near dodger stadium, however, it is possible I inadvertently entered the tfr at the facility. The lesson learned is to not rely solely on duats, and to obtain a 'live' WX briefing before every flight.

Title: VFR HELI IN LAX AREA IS CONCERNED ABOUT ENTERING TFR AROUND DODGER STADIUM.

Narrative: IT IS POSSIBLE THAT I INADVERTENTLY ENTERED THE TFR AT DODGER STADIUM, LOS ANGELES, CA. AT APPROX XA00, I OBTAINED A WX BRIEFING THROUGH DUATS. I NOTED THE TFR AT DISNEYLAND IN ANAHEIM, CA. I DO NOT RECALL SEEING ANY MENTION OF A TFR AT DODGER STADIUM. APPROX 3 WKS PRIOR, I HAD SPOKEN WITH A WX BRIEFER AT 1-800-WXBRIEF. I WAS PLANNING A FLT FROM VNY TO FUL, AND WANTED INFO ON, AMONG OTHER THINGS, THE TFR AT DISNEYLAND. THE BRIEFER EXPLAINED OTHER POTENTIAL TFR'S IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA. THE BRIEFER TOLD ME THAT THERE WERE NO OTHER TFR'S IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA. I INTERPRETED THAT TO MEAN THAT OTHER THAN THE USUAL SITS, THERE WOULD BE NO TFR'S AT DODGER STADIUM, UNIVERSAL STUDIOS, SIX FLAGS, ETC, AND THAT MY ONLY OBLIGATION WAS TO REFRAIN FROM LOITERING NEAR SUCH VENUES. APPROX XC00, I ARRIVED AT VNY AND CONDUCTED A PREFLT INSPECTION OF THE ACFT. APPROX XD15, I DEPARTED VNY. THE PURPOSE OF THE FLT WAS SIGHT-SEEING. PRIOR TO DEP, I OBTAINED ATIS INFO FROM VNY. AFTER SIGHT-SEEING AT SEVERAL LOCATIONS IN THE AREA, MY PAX WANTED TO SEE DODGER STADIUM. THOUGH I WAS UNAWARE OF THE TFR, I WAS GENERALLY AWARE OF THE HEIGHTENED SECURITY ISSUES FOLLOWING THE SEPTEMBER 11 TERRORIST ATTACK. I THEREFORE DID NOT OVERFLY DODGER STADIUM. I MAINTAINED A WIDE BERTH AROUND THE STADIUM, AND TRANSITIONED FROM THE HOLLYWOOD AREA S TOWARD DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES. DURING MY FLT NEAR DODGER STADIUM, HOWEVER, IT IS POSSIBLE I INADVERTENTLY ENTERED THE TFR AT THE FACILITY. THE LESSON LEARNED IS TO NOT RELY SOLELY ON DUATS, AND TO OBTAIN A 'LIVE' WX BRIEFING BEFORE EVERY FLT.
