Narrative:

Aircraft had contract maintenance performed on malfunctioning left thrust reverser. Contract mechanic coordinated maintenance actions with my airline's maintenance controller working in our operations control center. I understood the maintenance controller would notify the dispatcher for the flight, but I did not speak to the dispatcher to annotate the deferred thrust reverser on the company dispatch release. All maintenance actions were completed and the aircraft was released for flight in an airworthy condition.
