Narrative:
ILS runway 4 lga. Landed on centerline at touchdown point. Ground spoiler deployed. Thrust reversers deployed. Applied braking. Aircraft pulled to the right of centerline. Exited runway and taxied to the gate. Operations called and informed us a ramp agent said the #1 tire was flat. Called maintenance and the #1 and #2 tires were changed. Investigated aircraft history and found the wheel assembly had been replaced may/tue/03 and the #1 tire went flat on may/thu/03. Speaking with maintenance, I was told the #1 tire has gone flat on 3 previous occasions prior to may/sat/03. Evidently, this is a reoccurring problem that maintenance is having difficulty with finding a solution.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: A CANADAIR CL65 CAPT RPTS #1 TIRE BEING REPLACED 4 TIMES IN 1 MONTH FOR BEING FLAT.
Narrative: ILS RWY 4 LGA. LANDED ON CTRLINE AT TOUCHDOWN POINT. GND SPOILER DEPLOYED. THRUST REVERSERS DEPLOYED. APPLIED BRAKING. ACFT PULLED TO THE R OF CTRLINE. EXITED RWY AND TAXIED TO THE GATE. OPS CALLED AND INFORMED US A RAMP AGENT SAID THE #1 TIRE WAS FLAT. CALLED MAINT AND THE #1 AND #2 TIRES WERE CHANGED. INVESTIGATED ACFT HISTORY AND FOUND THE WHEEL ASSEMBLY HAD BEEN REPLACED MAY/TUE/03 AND THE #1 TIRE WENT FLAT ON MAY/THU/03. SPEAKING WITH MAINT, I WAS TOLD THE #1 TIRE HAS GONE FLAT ON 3 PREVIOUS OCCASIONS PRIOR TO MAY/SAT/03. EVIDENTLY, THIS IS A REOCCURRING PROB THAT MAINT IS HAVING DIFFICULTY WITH FINDING A SOLUTION.
