Narrative:
This event started with the hotel van leaving late. This was not the fault of the crew. The hotel van was not large enough to accommodate all the crew members. We all got on except the first officer. He came to airport on a later van. At the airport, it took some time to get through security. Our aircraft was on a gate toward the end of the concourse. I got to the aircraft first and proceeded to set up for the flight. When the first officer arrived, he forgot that he left his flight kit in operations, and had to go get it. Now I feel really pressed for time. I am rushing to get everything finished. We felt we had everything completed and pushed off the gate on-time. While doing the after-start checklist, we find things that are not normal. We look around the cockpit and find several collared circuit breakers behind the captain's seat. We found out that the aircraft had come from the hangar. Maintenance had not finished their job, and I missed the breakers because my seat was all the way back and they were not visible. Being in such a rush also added to the problem. We pulled back on the gate and had maintenance check it out. I did not make any logbook entry because there was nothing technically wrong with the aircraft. Maintenance reset all the breakers and we continued the flight. We missed the breakers being collared because we were in a rush to get the aircraft out on-time. We did the right thing by pulling back on the gate and correcting the problem. From now on, I will take the extra time to make sure all is right, so this does not happen again.

Title: B737-300 CREW PUSHED BACK FROM THE GATE WITH OPEN, COLLARED CIRCUIT BREAKERS THAT MAINT HAD NOT RESET.
Narrative: THIS EVENT STARTED WITH THE HOTEL VAN LEAVING LATE. THIS WAS NOT THE FAULT OF THE CREW. THE HOTEL VAN WAS NOT LARGE ENOUGH TO ACCOMMODATE ALL THE CREW MEMBERS. WE ALL GOT ON EXCEPT THE FO. HE CAME TO ARPT ON A LATER VAN. AT THE ARPT, IT TOOK SOME TIME TO GET THROUGH SECURITY. OUR ACFT WAS ON A GATE TOWARD THE END OF THE CONCOURSE. I GOT TO THE ACFT FIRST AND PROCEEDED TO SET UP FOR THE FLT. WHEN THE FO ARRIVED, HE FORGOT THAT HE LEFT HIS FLT KIT IN OPS, AND HAD TO GO GET IT. NOW I FEEL REALLY PRESSED FOR TIME. I AM RUSHING TO GET EVERYTHING FINISHED. WE FELT WE HAD EVERYTHING COMPLETED AND PUSHED OFF THE GATE ON-TIME. WHILE DOING THE AFTER-START CHKLIST, WE FIND THINGS THAT ARE NOT NORMAL. WE MISSED THE BREAKERS BEING COLLARED BECAUSE WE WERE IN A RUSH TO GET THE ACFT OUT ON-TIME. WE DID THE RIGHT THING BY PULLING BACK ON THE GATE AND CORRECTING THE PROB. FROM NOW ON, I WILL TAKE THE EXTRA TIME TO MAKE SURE ALL IS RIGHT, SO THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN AGAIN.
