Narrative:

Approaching civet was given mitts arrival. I was expecting civet arrival and just prior to civet the mitts arrival was given. This caused a quick change very late. A minor heading change was all that was needed but the potential for a bigger problem existed. Altitude requirements and traffic and speed adjustments all add up. No known deviation occurred but last min STAR change or assignment should be avoided. Supplemental information from acn 583605: given last min arrival change from civet to mitts with runway change from runway 25L to runway 24R given 2 altitude changes and traffic. ATC should vector aircraft for south side localizer and ILS approach.
