Narrative:
ATC facility: ILS runway 27R, 5 mi final approach. Right at, or just before, passing final segment of ILS runway 27R, mia ATIS was reporting 2 mi visibility at XA40 special report, but just short of right at final segment of the approach. Tower called back for an update on the RVR, now reporting 3500 ft. Captain decided to continue the approach. I also agreed, but the WX right at the moment did not let me look for the message on the required visibility for the approach, which I believe was 5000 ft RVR. I know we were legal but the timing of the WX report came right at the worst time and I think tower knew about it for a while, just waiting for us to hit the final for bringing the news -- very slick.
