Narrative:
Landed runway 22L at ewr, during rollout tower instructed us to 'exit the high speed.' while on high speed 'victor' tower instructed us to use, 'papa, papa bravo' hold short of runway 22R at 'papa bravo.' while trying to find 'papa' I taxied over runway 22R hold short line at 'victor.' aircraft was well short of runway 22R (+/-50 ft). Tower saw we were at 'victor' and told us to turn left to 'papa' hold short of runway 22R on 'papa bravo.' we complied with this. The absence of taxiway signs contributed to the confusion. There is substantial construction between high speed 'november' and the intersection of high speed 'victor' and taxiway 'papa.' also taxiway 'papa' south of 'victor' is not even depicted on the commercial chart airport pages. No NOTAMS were issued for construction on 'papa' and 'november,' although 'november' is noted closed on the ATIS. A 'taxiway construction between runways' NOTAM would help pilots expect this.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: A LNDG, TAXIING F100 FLT CROSSES THE HOLD SHORT LINE FOR RWY 22R AT TXWY V WHEN TOLD TO USE PB AT EWR, NJ.
Narrative: LANDED RWY 22L AT EWR, DURING ROLLOUT TWR INSTRUCTED US TO 'EXIT THE HIGH SPD.' WHILE ON HIGH SPD 'VICTOR' TWR INSTRUCTED US TO USE, 'PAPA, PAPA BRAVO' HOLD SHORT OF RWY 22R AT 'PAPA BRAVO.' WHILE TRYING TO FIND 'PAPA' I TAXIED OVER RWY 22R HOLD SHORT LINE AT 'VICTOR.' ACFT WAS WELL SHORT OF RWY 22R (+/-50 FT). TWR SAW WE WERE AT 'VICTOR' AND TOLD US TO TURN L TO 'PAPA' HOLD SHORT OF RWY 22R ON 'PAPA BRAVO.' WE COMPLIED WITH THIS. THE ABSENCE OF TXWY SIGNS CONTRIBUTED TO THE CONFUSION. THERE IS SUBSTANTIAL CONSTRUCTION BTWN HIGH SPD 'NOVEMBER' AND THE INTXN OF HIGH SPD 'VICTOR' AND TXWY 'PAPA.' ALSO TXWY 'PAPA' S OF 'VICTOR' IS NOT EVEN DEPICTED ON THE COMMERCIAL CHART ARPT PAGES. NO NOTAMS WERE ISSUED FOR CONSTRUCTION ON 'PAPA' AND 'NOVEMBER,' ALTHOUGH 'NOVEMBER' IS NOTED CLOSED ON THE ATIS. A 'TXWY CONSTRUCTION BTWN RWYS' NOTAM WOULD HELP PLTS EXPECT THIS.
