Narrative:
30 mins before departure ramp service calls, cargo pit floor damage. I took the temporary repair parts out and installed them per the lead and foreman instructions. As I returned another mechanic found that a temporary repair was not allowed on the edge of a pit floor panel. By this time ramp service had pushed the plane off the gate. We notified them to bring it back and a permanent repair was installed.
