Narrative:
On takeoff at vr, #2 engine egt increased to top of indicator scale and engine failed. Takeoff was continued and clean-up conducted at 1000 ft AGL. Engine failure checklist completed and engine secured. Fuel dumping was initiated and a climb to 5000 ft continued. Received radar vectors to ILS approach in VMC to an uneventful 2 engine landing. Fuel dumping was terminated at 'mglw' at 2000 ft AGL and 10 mi final to runway 4R at ZZZ. Arff inspected aircraft for fire/damage and with no problems observed, taxied to gate. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated the engine failed at rotation and an emergency was declared, climbed to 5000 ft to dump fuel and divert. The reporter said the engine was a general electric CF6 and it was reported the N2 compressor failed. Callback conversation with reporter from acn 585590 revealed the following information: the reporter stated the cause of the engine failure was the turbine section of the engine.

Title: A DC10-30 AT ROTATION DECLARED AN EMER AND DIVERTED DUE TO LOSS OF PWR AND EGT OVER LIMITS IN #2 ENG.
Narrative: ON TKOF AT VR, #2 ENG EGT INCREASED TO TOP OF INDICATOR SCALE AND ENG FAILED. TKOF WAS CONTINUED AND CLEAN-UP CONDUCTED AT 1000 FT AGL. ENG FAILURE CHKLIST COMPLETED AND ENG SECURED. FUEL DUMPING WAS INITIATED AND A CLB TO 5000 FT CONTINUED. RECEIVED RADAR VECTORS TO ILS APCH IN VMC TO AN UNEVENTFUL 2 ENG LNDG. FUEL DUMPING WAS TERMINATED AT 'MGLW' AT 2000 FT AGL AND 10 MI FINAL TO RWY 4R AT ZZZ. ARFF INSPECTED ACFT FOR FIRE/DAMAGE AND WITH NO PROBS OBSERVED, TAXIED TO GATE.
