Narrative:
Takeoff roll was discontinued when system 'a' electric hydraulic pump 'overheat' light illuminated during spool-up. Takeoff was abandoned at 60-65 KTS. Light extinguished as we cleared the runway. Returned to the gate and maintenance troubleshot for awhile, only to defer the light. All appeared to go as planned. This report is submitted in conjunction with corresponding irregularity report in support of as soon as possible research.

Title: A B737-300 CAPT, DEPARTING MCI, REJECTED THE TKOF AFTER THE MASTER CAUTION SOUNDED.
Narrative: TKOF ROLL WAS DISCONTINUED WHEN SYS 'A' ELECTRIC HYD PUMP 'OVERHEAT' LIGHT ILLUMINATED DURING SPOOL-UP. TKOF WAS ABANDONED AT 60-65 KTS. LIGHT EXTINGUISHED AS WE CLRED THE RWY.
