Narrative:

As captain, I was forced to have a flight attendant removed from a flight because she was too ill to perform her duties properly. The flight attendant in question is an excellent flight attendant and employee, but she was intimidated to work sick due to fear of retribution from her employer. I would like to say this is an isolated incident but air carrier X's punitive sick policy intimidates pilots and flight attendants to fly while sick.
