Narrative:
On takeoff from wsss, the left and right side top and bottom displays blanked, only a yellow 'att' on the top screens and a yellow 'heading' on the bottom screens were in view. ATC notified, and we requested a return to land. We were given altitudes and headings to return, ATC notified that we could only make compass turns. After block-in, we left the IRU's and displays powered for a maintenance check. Maintenance confirmed that they were 'erratic down,' the aircraft system were isolated, powered down one at a time, and then repowered. Aircraft returned to service, and the subsequent takeoff was normal. Note -- during the initial preparation for flight, there was excessive amounts of water in the cockpit. We mopped it up as best we could with paper towels. The floorboards were wet, all panels were wet, and there was water dripping down from all points on the overhead. Supplemental information from acn 586082: on takeoff from wsss, both map displays blanked with only 'att' and 'heading' displayed.

Title: B757-200 LOST NAV AND COMPASS ABILITY ON DEP. THE COCKPIT, FLOOR, AND PANELS WERE SOAKED WITH WATER.
Narrative: ON TKOF FROM WSSS, THE L AND R SIDE TOP AND BOTTOM DISPLAYS BLANKED, ONLY A YELLOW 'ATT' ON THE TOP SCREENS AND A YELLOW 'HDG' ON THE BOTTOM SCREENS WERE IN VIEW. ATC NOTIFIED, AND WE REQUESTED A RETURN TO LAND. WE WERE GIVEN ALTS AND HDGS TO RETURN, ATC NOTIFIED THAT WE COULD ONLY MAKE COMPASS TURNS. AFTER BLOCK-IN, WE LEFT THE IRU'S AND DISPLAYS POWERED FOR A MAINT CHK. MAINT CONFIRMED THAT THEY WERE 'ERRATIC DOWN,' THE ACFT SYS WERE ISOLATED, POWERED DOWN ONE AT A TIME, AND THEN REPOWERED. ACFT RETURNED TO SVC, AND THE SUBSEQUENT TKOF WAS NORMAL. NOTE -- DURING THE INITIAL PREPARATION FOR FLT, THERE WAS EXCESSIVE AMOUNTS OF WATER IN THE COCKPIT. WE MOPPED IT UP AS BEST WE COULD WITH PAPER TOWELS. THE FLOORBOARDS WERE WET, ALL PANELS WERE WET, AND THERE WAS WATER DRIPPING DOWN FROM ALL POINTS ON THE OVERHEAD. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 586082: ON TKOF FROM WSSS, BOTH MAP DISPLAYS BLANKED WITH ONLY 'ATT' AND 'HDG' DISPLAYED.
