Narrative:
This was the second time that something like this happened while I was in the pattern in fdk with my student. Last time, we were in the pattern for runway 30, when they called on the radio from the flight school and told me to contact potomac, because of violation of the ADIZ. I called and let them know that we stayed in the pattern. They had other tail numbers, too, and they called the other pilots. Again, we were in the pattern for runway 30, and never left the pattern. I called potomac, and they said that we violated ADIZ 5 NM south of fdk. We remained in the pattern within 2-3 NM for fdk, and we had GPS to record/show our position from the airport (fdk). I have flown from the airport for 1 yr, and I know where the boundaries of the ADIZ are by using both GPS and visual reference. Potomac had the only primary targets, and our transponder was on.
