Narrative:

After departing rochester, I asked for VFR TA's. I contacted ZNY, was given beacon code and radar idented. ZNY continued to work me as I proceeded south, diverting to the east to avoid an area set forth in a convective SIGMET from jamestown, ny, to harrisburg, PA. About 60 mi out of mtn, I asked the ZNY controller to confirm that ATC had an ADIZ flight plan on file for me. He said that things were busy because of the WX, but that he would have someone call potomac TRACON. About 15 mins later he handed me off to potomac TRACON and said that 'everything should be alright with your flight plan.' all of the center controllers and the potomac TRACON controller knew my call sign, type and destination. To my knowledge, from the vicinity of elmira, ny, until I landed, at no time was I not radar-idented. I was never assigned another beacon code. I contacted potomac TRACON and shortly was advised to proceed direct to martin state, and report airport in sight. After a few mins, I reported airport in sight and was told to call martin state tower and remain on the same code until I landed. I complied with each instruction. While taxiing to my tiedown, I was told by the tower controller that tsa had called and wanted 'to know who I was.' since I had a discrete beacon code issued by ATC, was in direct communication with the controling agency, was authority/authorized to proceed to an airport within the ADIZ, and took the extraordinary step of requesting that ATC confirm the receipt and validity of my ADIZ flight plan, I find this very troubling.

AFTER A FEW MINS, I RPTED ARPT IN SIGHT AND WAS TOLD TO CALL MARTIN STATE TWR AND REMAIN ON THE SAME CODE UNTIL I LANDED. I COMPLIED WITH EACH INSTRUCTION. WHILE TAXIING TO MY TIEDOWN, I WAS TOLD BY THE TWR CTLR THAT TSA HAD CALLED AND WANTED 'TO KNOW WHO I WAS.' SINCE I HAD A DISCRETE BEACON CODE ISSUED BY ATC, WAS IN DIRECT COM WITH THE CTLING AGENCY, WAS AUTH TO PROCEED TO AN ARPT WITHIN THE ADIZ, AND TOOK THE EXTRAORDINARY STEP OF REQUESTING THAT ATC CONFIRM THE RECEIPT AND VALIDITY OF MY ADIZ FLT PLAN, I FIND THIS VERY TROUBLING.
