Narrative:
While leveling off at 13000 ft, the autoplt disengaged, and the aircraft pitched up and climbed 300 ft. I then leveled off at 13000 ft, and re-engaged the autoplt. At that point, the aircraft pitched down and lost 700 ft. I proceeded to 'hand fly' (no autoplt). At the same time that the autoplt was malfunctioning, we had a horizon light on both FMS, and a flashing left inlet fuel pressure low light on. So considering all the above, we returned to dtw for an uneventful landing. During this same time frame, we had an overspd warning due to an autothrottle malfunction.

Title: MD83 CREW HAD THE AUTOPLT AUTO STABILIZER TRIM MALFUNCTION. BOTH FMC WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATE. THE INLET FUEL PRESSURE LIGHT ILLUMINATE AND AN AUTOTHROTTLE THAT DROVE THE ACFT INTO OVERSPD.
