Narrative:

Arriving fll, ZMA gave clearance to cross dekal at 6000 ft. Previously, we had been given a 300 ft restr. Accomplished descent as soon as possible, but was unable to meet 6000 ft restr. Notified ZMA. They removed dekal restr and issued clearance to descend, best rate, to 6000 ft. Just as we were switching to approach, we received a TA, then an RA as we were descending through 8000 ft. Aircraft in question was a mallard aircraft at 8000 ft. We followed RA and climbed through 8300 ft. Traffic cleared and we resumed descent.
