Narrative:
Over new mexico, we got a rerte. An flight attendant was in the cockpit talking to the first officer. I missed that the arrival was changed from the civet to the pdz. I entered the change in the FMC and asked the first officer if it looked good. He agreed -- we executed. Before the descent, I verified the civet altitudes with the first officer. Once again the same flight attendant was chatting with him. Approaching civet, center asked us if we were going to konzel. I told the first officer we were on the civet. H east said we had been cleared on the pdz. Oops. We corrected. I never heard the change and did not write it down when I copied the rerte. The first officer was distracted both times I checked with him.
