Narrative:
At arrival gate, ground crew noticed broken nose taxi light when hooking up towbar. Outbound crew was made aware of this prior to their walkaround and outbound captain advised us he would write up the problem and call out contract maintenance. Found out later that the #2 engine had suffered foreign object damage, most likely from the shattered nose taxi light, which was loose and probably damaged in its holding bracket. Possibly our crews could be made aware of the potential foreign object damage possibility from a loose or damaged nose taxi light.

Title: FLT CREW OF B733 ADVISED BY RAMP PERSONNEL OF A BROKEN NOSE GEAR LIGHT ON ARR. LATER LEARNED ENG HAD SUFFERED FOREIGN OBJECT DAMAGE AND SURMISE THE TWO ARE RELATED.
Narrative: AT ARR GATE, GND CREW NOTICED BROKEN NOSE TAXI LIGHT WHEN HOOKING UP TOWBAR. OUTBOUND CREW WAS MADE AWARE OF THIS PRIOR TO THEIR WALKAROUND AND OUTBOUND CAPT ADVISED US HE WOULD WRITE UP THE PROB AND CALL OUT CONTRACT MAINT. FOUND OUT LATER THAT THE #2 ENG HAD SUFFERED FOREIGN OBJECT DAMAGE, MOST LIKELY FROM THE SHATTERED NOSE TAXI LIGHT, WHICH WAS LOOSE AND PROBABLY DAMAGED IN ITS HOLDING BRACKET. POSSIBLY OUR CREWS COULD BE MADE AWARE OF THE POTENTIAL FOREIGN OBJECT DAMAGE POSSIBILITY FROM A LOOSE OR DAMAGED NOSE TAXI LIGHT.
