Narrative:

During the crew rest periods, the captain and first officer were unable to rest due to screaming children in the first row of the coach section. The crew rest seat is in the last row of the business section which is just in front of coach. As a result of the non stop noise coming from coach, the crew were unable to get proper rest. During the arrival and final approach at ord, the captain was tired and not able to fully concentrate on the task at hand. A report was submitted to the company with several remedies recommended. As yet, no reply has been received. One recommendation was to move the rest seat forward and keep the seat next to the crew member empty. Sitting next to a snoring passenger whose elbow is in the side of the crew member is a detriment to proper crew rest that I have experienced.
