Narrative:

On takeoff from runway 1 at dca the seat slid back, almost all the way back. This occurred at rotation. The controls were promptly xferred to the captain. It was very difficult to latch the seat back in place. I think the latching mechanism was broken. I had checked the seat to make sure that it was secured immediately prior to takeoff using the guidelines found on company web site. Pushed against the seat to make sure that it was secure. The captain completed the flight as the PF after I resecured the seat.
