Narrative:
Reported to work with inadequate rest. After scheduled 9 hours and 20 mins in 24 hours, with 9 hours rest (reduced), I talked to scheduling after getting home. They advised me of my next trip in 10 hours. I neglected to verify that rest period was adequate for compensation, and reported, and flew with inadequate rest. Called scheduling when I became aware of problem, and was taken off the rest of the trip.
