Narrative:
Taxi in from runway 9R intersection V and runway 12, given instructions to taxi spot via taxiway Y and taxiway north. Due to the commercial airport charts not matching current signs at mia. We, consequently, taxied onto taxiway hh via an unmarked taxiway, which we thought was taxiway Y west of taxiway Y1 and taxiway Y2 as depicted on airport charts. The current taxiway Y3 does not exist on either page, yet 2 new parallel txwys, which run parallel to runway 12 west of taxiway Y1 and taxiway Y2 are also not depicted on any current commercial charts. The signage in this area is extremely poor with no vertical billboard style signs. The only taxiway signs are painted on the ground, and can be very difficult to read. This results in confusion and several aircraft making numerous wrong turns similar to our incident. After taxiing onto taxiway hh, we were blocked by numerous aircraft, resulting in unnecessary additional taxi time. After 2 aircraft were moved, we were then instructed to make a 180 degree on taxiway hh and taxi back via the same ew taxiway as before.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: AT MIA, THE FLT CREW OF A B757, ENCOUNTERING DISCREPANCIES AND CONFUSION BTWN ARPT TXWY IDENTIFIERS, PUBLISHED ARPT PAGES AND AN UNCLR CLRNC FROM GND CTL, FAILED TO COMPLY WITH THE CTLR'S EXPECTATIONS.
Narrative: TAXI IN FROM RWY 9R INTXN V AND RWY 12, GIVEN INSTRUCTIONS TO TAXI SPOT VIA TXWY Y AND TXWY N. DUE TO THE COMMERCIAL ARPT CHARTS NOT MATCHING CURRENT SIGNS AT MIA. WE, CONSEQUENTLY, TAXIED ONTO TXWY HH VIA AN UNMARKED TXWY, WHICH WE THOUGHT WAS TXWY Y W OF TXWY Y1 AND TXWY Y2 AS DEPICTED ON ARPT CHARTS. THE CURRENT TXWY Y3 DOES NOT EXIST ON EITHER PAGE, YET 2 NEW PARALLEL TXWYS, WHICH RUN PARALLEL TO RWY 12 W OF TXWY Y1 AND TXWY Y2 ARE ALSO NOT DEPICTED ON ANY CURRENT COMMERCIAL CHARTS. THE SIGNAGE IN THIS AREA IS EXTREMELY POOR WITH NO VERT BILLBOARD STYLE SIGNS. THE ONLY TXWY SIGNS ARE PAINTED ON THE GND, AND CAN BE VERY DIFFICULT TO READ. THIS RESULTS IN CONFUSION AND SEVERAL ACFT MAKING NUMEROUS WRONG TURNS SIMILAR TO OUR INCIDENT. AFTER TAXIING ONTO TXWY HH, WE WERE BLOCKED BY NUMEROUS ACFT, RESULTING IN UNNECESSARY ADDITIONAL TAXI TIME. AFTER 2 ACFT WERE MOVED, WE WERE THEN INSTRUCTED TO MAKE A 180 DEG ON TXWY HH AND TAXI BACK VIA THE SAME EW TXWY AS BEFORE.
