Narrative:
My shop had taken in the quick update procedure/modification to gearbox repair of JT8-200 gearbox. Engineering service order 80202 chapter 72-61-00-217-78. I made a change to the gear box log to reflect this. When the first logbook came to me for audit, I saw that I had left out the portion that covers quick update procedure/modification to gearbox if not removed from engine. I notified my supervisor. He and I went to engine records, corrected the mistake, got a list of gearbox logs issued from 7-MON-03 to 7-THU-03. Found them, engine records put correct change in.
