Narrative:
On takeoff, a loud thump was heard from outside the aircraft. Cockpit crew reported a smell of smoke, and then none. The aircraft vibrated a lot in the mid section during flight. Upon landing, it was discovered that a part of the engine had become dislodged and sucked into the engine causing blade damage. Landing in mia was uneventful.

Title: A B757-200 FLT ATTENDANT IN CHARGE RPTED THAT A LOUD THUMP ON TKOF, AND VIBRATIONS THROUGHOUT THE FLT, TURNED OUT TO BE THE RESULTS OF AN ENG FAILURE UPON INSPECTION AT MIA.
Narrative: ON TKOF, A LOUD THUMP WAS HEARD FROM OUTSIDE THE ACFT. COCKPIT CREW RPTED A SMELL OF SMOKE, AND THEN NONE. THE ACFT VIBRATED A LOT IN THE MID SECTION DURING FLT. UPON LNDG, IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT A PART OF THE ENG HAD BECOME DISLODGED AND SUCKED INTO THE ENG CAUSING BLADE DAMAGE. LNDG IN MIA WAS UNEVENTFUL.
