Narrative:
Basically 3 passenger (2 men/1 woman) seated together in aft B757 ordered several (4-5) beers each during the flight. Flight attendant #2 and I made the decision not to serve them any more alcohol -- drinking it too fast -- becoming loud. One of the passenger came to me and requested more beer. I 'checked' and told him we were 'out.' he and the other male passenger then cornered flight attendant #2 in aft galley requesting more beer. They called her a liar when she said we didn't have any more, then said they'd take wine. She then explained to them our decision to not serve them any more alcohol. They became very upset and one of the men walked up to first class. I called flight attendant #1 to tell her what was going on and not to give him any alcohol. He told her he wanted to buy some beer. She said that it was first class and therefore, didn't 'sell' alcohol. He became even more upset and began arguing with her (1ST row of first class witnessed all of this). She told him she 'wanted him to go back to his seat (right now).' he responded, 'yeah, I want to throw you off the *@#?* plane!' he stomped on back to his seat where he spent the remainder of the flight glaring at us and 'mouthing off' to us. We kept the cockpit informed, decided to issue the 'passenger in-flight disturbance report' to the passenger and also to have the auths meet our flight upon arrival at pdx. Issued the report, landed without further incident. Local auths detained passenger on jetbridge for questioning (and of course, he denied everything).
