Narrative:
Left gear failed during landing. Landing was normal -- not hard. Apparent cause: progressive weld failure over a period of 20 yrs. Damage was to lower l-hand wingtip and propeller. No passenger, no other damage, pilot unhurt.

Title: STARDUSTER SA-300 PLT RPTED THE L-HAND LNDG GEAR FAILED DURING LNDG.
Narrative: L GEAR FAILED DURING LNDG. LNDG WAS NORMAL -- NOT HARD. APPARENT CAUSE: PROGRESSIVE WELD FAILURE OVER A PERIOD OF 20 YRS. DAMAGE WAS TO LOWER L-HAND WINGTIP AND PROP. NO PAX, NO OTHER DAMAGE, PLT UNHURT.
