Narrative:
On oct/sat/03, aircraft X arrived with #2 electrical center hydraulic pump inoperative. We replaced pump, and tested ok. The head pressure had been bled off and resulted in a 'reservoir pressurization light' being on. As I was correcting the paperwork, I had a mechanic from another airline, 3 of my mechanics, and the crew talking to and providing me with information. While this was going on, I entered the wrong information and accomplishment code against the deferred item to clear the hydraulic pump. I inadvertently re-deferred the pump and listed as a continual problem the reservoir light. In effect, I dispatched an illegal aircraft. After the crew applied power the light had extinguished. I also contacted maintenance controller after I discovered my error, and we were able to correct the paperwork before the aircraft arrived down line. I should have sought the help of a senior mechanic to help with lead duties, as I corrected the computer input.

Title: A B757-200 WAS DISPATCHED IN NON COMPLIANCE WITH INCOMPLETE AND AN INCORRECT MAINT DOCUMENTATION.
Narrative: ON OCT/SAT/03, ACFT X ARRIVED WITH #2 ELECTRICAL CTR HYD PUMP INOP. WE REPLACED PUMP, AND TESTED OK. THE HEAD PRESSURE HAD BEEN BLED OFF AND RESULTED IN A 'RESERVOIR PRESSURIZATION LIGHT' BEING ON. AS I WAS CORRECTING THE PAPERWORK, I HAD A MECH FROM ANOTHER AIRLINE, 3 OF MY MECHS, AND THE CREW TALKING TO AND PROVIDING ME WITH INFO. WHILE THIS WAS GOING ON, I ENTERED THE WRONG INFO AND ACCOMPLISHMENT CODE AGAINST THE DEFERRED ITEM TO CLR THE HYD PUMP. I INADVERTENTLY RE-DEFERRED THE PUMP AND LISTED AS A CONTINUAL PROB THE RESERVOIR LIGHT. IN EFFECT, I DISPATCHED AN ILLEGAL ACFT. AFTER THE CREW APPLIED PWR THE LIGHT HAD EXTINGUISHED. I ALSO CONTACTED MAINT CTLR AFTER I DISCOVERED MY ERROR, AND WE WERE ABLE TO CORRECT THE PAPERWORK BEFORE THE ACFT ARRIVED DOWN LINE. I SHOULD HAVE SOUGHT THE HELP OF A SENIOR MECH TO HELP WITH LEAD DUTIES, AS I CORRECTED THE COMPUTER INPUT.
