Narrative:
On climb out on the whitestone climb off runway 13 at lga, passing about 4000 ft 210 KIAS in turn from 180 degrees to 040 degrees, departure control reminds us to maintain 5000 ft. (Takeoff clearance was runway 13 whitestone climb 5000 ft.) approaching 040 degree heading, departure gives us, 'left turn to 310 degrees, traffic at 11:30 O'clock position. Company aircraft climbing through 5000 ft.' in my turn, the copilot asks, 'do you see the traffic.' he saw it. The controller said to remain clear. I looked up in the l-hand turn, saw we were clear of company traffic, but went through altitude assigned by about 300 ft. I made an immediate correction. Lga departure control made no comment. He gave us a further turn to 280 degrees, climb to 7000 ft. No TCASII cautions or warnings. Cause: 1) I believe the cause was habit patterns. Flying the short trips for the last 6 months, on the whitestone climb out (procedure: runway 13, runway heading 400 ft r-hand turn to 180 degrees until lga 2.5 DME then l-hand turn to 040 degrees. Maintain 210 KIAS until 040 degrees, 5000 ft). We would 'normally' receive clearance to 7000 ft concurrent with the 'turn to 310 degrees.' we had our company aircraft in sight and I 'thought' we were cleared to 7000 ft. The copilot caught the deviation and I immediately corrected. 2) a second cause was tiredness. This was the 14TH leg of a 15 leg trip together. We flew two 2-DAY trips back to back. Each trip was 5 legs the 1ST day 3 legs the next. The second day was an XB30 report (ie, XA45 wakeup).

Title: B737 CREW OFF LGA ON DEP PROC CLBING TO 5000 FT OVERSHOOT 300 FT AND CORRECT WITHOUT COMMENT FROM ATC.
Narrative: ON CLBOUT ON THE WHITESTONE CLB OFF RWY 13 AT LGA, PASSING ABOUT 4000 FT 210 KIAS IN TURN FROM 180 DEGS TO 040 DEGS, DEP CTL REMINDS US TO MAINTAIN 5000 FT. (TKOF CLRNC WAS RWY 13 WHITESTONE CLB 5000 FT.) APCHING 040 DEG HDG, DEP GIVES US, 'L TURN TO 310 DEGS, TFC AT 11:30 O'CLOCK POS. COMPANY ACFT CLBING THROUGH 5000 FT.' IN MY TURN, THE COPLT ASKS, 'DO YOU SEE THE TFC.' HE SAW IT. THE CTLR SAID TO REMAIN CLR. I LOOKED UP IN THE L-HAND TURN, SAW WE WERE CLR OF COMPANY TFC, BUT WENT THROUGH ALT ASSIGNED BY ABOUT 300 FT. I MADE AN IMMEDIATE CORRECTION. LGA DEP CTL MADE NO COMMENT. HE GAVE US A FURTHER TURN TO 280 DEGS, CLB TO 7000 FT. NO TCASII CAUTIONS OR WARNINGS. CAUSE: 1) I BELIEVE THE CAUSE WAS HABIT PATTERNS. FLYING THE SHORT TRIPS FOR THE LAST 6 MONTHS, ON THE WHITESTONE CLBOUT (PROC: RWY 13, RWY HEADING 400 FT R-HAND TURN TO 180 DEGS UNTIL LGA 2.5 DME THEN L-HAND TURN TO 040 DEGS. MAINTAIN 210 KIAS UNTIL 040 DEGS, 5000 FT). WE WOULD 'NORMALLY' RECEIVE CLRNC TO 7000 FT CONCURRENT WITH THE 'TURN TO 310 DEGS.' WE HAD OUR COMPANY ACFT IN SIGHT AND I 'THOUGHT' WE WERE CLRED TO 7000 FT. THE COPLT CAUGHT THE DEV AND I IMMEDIATELY CORRECTED. 2) A SECOND CAUSE WAS TIREDNESS. THIS WAS THE 14TH LEG OF A 15 LEG TRIP TOGETHER. WE FLEW TWO 2-DAY TRIPS BACK TO BACK. EACH TRIP WAS 5 LEGS THE 1ST DAY 3 LEGS THE NEXT. THE SECOND DAY WAS AN XB30 RPT (IE, XA45 WAKEUP).
