Narrative:

While flying from cyvr to cyxt we penetrated rvsm airspace above FL290. We did not realize rvsm airspace was in effect north of vancouver, back course. The high chart does reflect this, but was missed during flight planning. The aircraft was certified, but the crew has not received training yet. There was no incident involved. We discovered our error while flying back to the united states looking at the charts closer. In the future, I will look closer for rvsm airspace in canadian airspace.

Title: BE40 CREW VIOLATED CANADIAN RVSM AIRSPACE WHEN THE CREW HAD NOT RECEIVED NECESSARY TRAINING TO ENTER RVSM AIRSPACE.

Narrative: WHILE FLYING FROM CYVR TO CYXT WE PENETRATED RVSM AIRSPACE ABOVE FL290. WE DID NOT REALIZE RVSM AIRSPACE WAS IN EFFECT N OF VANCOUVER, BC. THE HIGH CHART DOES REFLECT THIS, BUT WAS MISSED DURING FLT PLANNING. THE ACFT WAS CERTIFIED, BUT THE CREW HAS NOT RECEIVED TRAINING YET. THERE WAS NO INCIDENT INVOLVED. WE DISCOVERED OUR ERROR WHILE FLYING BACK TO THE UNITED STATES LOOKING AT THE CHARTS CLOSER. IN THE FUTURE, I WILL LOOK CLOSER FOR RVSM AIRSPACE IN CANADIAN AIRSPACE.
