Narrative:
This has happened to me twice, the latest being this morning. Taking off out of orf on runway 5 around 2-300 ft, we had a TCAS TA just to the north of the airport. Asking orf ATC if they had any aircraft in the area as we had a TA, they said it was most probably a military ship docked that had left its transponder on. It would be great if our orf charts could have an alert about ship transponders, or better yet if the orf ATC people could coordinate with the military to have the ships shut off their transponders when they are docked. As it is, it is quite a thrill to have a TA right after takeoff.
