Narrative:
Situation occurred on flight from ewr. Experienced numerous distrs during climb out from ewr, including TCASII traffic alerts and vectors from ZNY. Also had multiple altitude hold-downs climbing out. This resulted in missing the climb checklist passing through FL180. We continued the climb to FL350 and leveled off with altimeter setting of 29.53 which put us approximately 350 ft high on leveloff. ZNY called and asked if we were at FL350 with 29.92 set. We answered 'we'll fix that.' we set altimeter to 29.92 and descended to FL350. Remainder of flight was normal.
