Narrative:

I performed a maintenance flight then later in the same aircraft did a training flight for a high performance signoff. The aircraft was released to me by the mechanic who stated the aircraft was legal to fly. Later I found out that the logbooks hadn't been endorsed for the work performed. It appears that at ZZZ airport it is common practice to mail out the logbook endorsements at a later date.
