Narrative:
The flight departed barnes field (baf) at XA06 eastern time to teb airport. We were vectored onto our clearance route. A few mins later, we were cleared direct to sparta VOR (sax), then direct teb airport. Although I missed the next call, my captain (PNF) heard ATC then instruct us to cross 25 mi northeast of sparta at 7000 ft. However, he forgot to dial-in the crossing altitude in the altitude selector. I missed the call all together as I was busy reviewing the approach procedure and monitoring the autoplt, all while quite fatigued. When we reached 25 NM from sparta, the controller asked if we had forgotten about the crossing restr. We started a rapid descent to 7000 ft and were given a frequency change to new york approach. Nothing more was mentioned by ATC about the deviation. I believe a major factor in this situation was fatigue. My captain and I were at the end of a 14 hour duty day and had been awake for almost 18 hours. We had worked a long day on the day before this incident occurred. That day started with an early morning departure from the east coast and ending mid afternoon in western wyoming. The day of the incident, was a midday departure from wyoming with a late night arrival into teterboro. We combined long duty days with being several hours off our body clock's normal sleep and wake times. Supplemental information from acn 597715: I forgot to dial in the crossing altitude in the altitude selector. I proceeded to pick up ATIS and contact the FBO. After doing this, I looked at the altitude selector which still had 14000 ft dialed in. I had forgotten about the crossing restr and assumed we still needed to be at 14000 ft.

Title: ALT XING RESTR NOT MET BY A TIRED FLT CREW OF A BE40 25 MI NE OF SAX, NJ.
Narrative: THE FLT DEPARTED BARNES FIELD (BAF) AT XA06 EASTERN TIME TO TEB ARPT. WE WERE VECTORED ONTO OUR CLRNC RTE. A FEW MINS LATER, WE WERE CLRED DIRECT TO SPARTA VOR (SAX), THEN DIRECT TEB ARPT. ALTHOUGH I MISSED THE NEXT CALL, MY CAPT (PNF) HEARD ATC THEN INSTRUCT US TO CROSS 25 MI NE OF SPARTA AT 7000 FT. HOWEVER, HE FORGOT TO DIAL-IN THE XING ALT IN THE ALT SELECTOR. I MISSED THE CALL ALL TOGETHER AS I WAS BUSY REVIEWING THE APCH PROC AND MONITORING THE AUTOPLT, ALL WHILE QUITE FATIGUED. WHEN WE REACHED 25 NM FROM SPARTA, THE CTLR ASKED IF WE HAD FORGOTTEN ABOUT THE XING RESTR. WE STARTED A RAPID DSCNT TO 7000 FT AND WERE GIVEN A FREQ CHANGE TO NEW YORK APCH. NOTHING MORE WAS MENTIONED BY ATC ABOUT THE DEV. I BELIEVE A MAJOR FACTOR IN THIS SIT WAS FATIGUE. MY CAPT AND I WERE AT THE END OF A 14 HR DUTY DAY AND HAD BEEN AWAKE FOR ALMOST 18 HRS. WE HAD WORKED A LONG DAY ON THE DAY BEFORE THIS INCIDENT OCCURRED. THAT DAY STARTED WITH AN EARLY MORNING DEP FROM THE EAST COAST AND ENDING MID AFTERNOON IN WESTERN WYOMING. THE DAY OF THE INCIDENT, WAS A MIDDAY DEP FROM WYOMING WITH A LATE NIGHT ARR INTO TETERBORO. WE COMBINED LONG DUTY DAYS WITH BEING SEVERAL HRS OFF OUR BODY CLOCK'S NORMAL SLEEP AND WAKE TIMES. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 597715: I FORGOT TO DIAL IN THE XING ALT IN THE ALT SELECTOR. I PROCEEDED TO PICK UP ATIS AND CONTACT THE FBO. AFTER DOING THIS, I LOOKED AT THE ALT SELECTOR WHICH STILL HAD 14000 FT DIALED IN. I HAD FORGOTTEN ABOUT THE XING RESTR AND ASSUMED WE STILL NEEDED TO BE AT 14000 FT.
