Narrative:
Right forward door popped open just after rotation (approximately 90 KTS) on runway 6 at crg. PF reduced power to idle, landed the aircraft, and commenced maximum braking. Reject initiated with less than 1000 ft of runway remaining. Aircraft departed end of runway at approximately 20 KTS. Taxied back to amp and inspected aircraft. There was no damage to either the landing gear or propellers. Resecured door, briefed subsequent takeoff, and departed uneventfully. This chain of events was caused by a faulty latch on the right door leading to the door not fully being locked. Door was not sufficiently checked again prior to takeoff. PF thought he had more runway remaining than he actually had. PF stated afterward he should have continued takeoff versus rejecting. We both briefed that a door opening on takeoff is not a reject item.

Title: BE55 PLT DID NOT INSURE THE CABIN DOOR WAS PROPERLY CLOSED. IT POPPED OPEN JUST AFTER TKOF. PLT RAN OFF RWY IN THE ABORT ATTEMPT.
Narrative: R FORWARD DOOR POPPED OPEN JUST AFTER ROTATION (APPROX 90 KTS) ON RWY 6 AT CRG. PF REDUCED PWR TO IDLE, LANDED THE ACFT, AND COMMENCED MAX BRAKING. REJECT INITIATED WITH LESS THAN 1000 FT OF RWY REMAINING. ACFT DEPARTED END OF RWY AT APPROX 20 KTS. TAXIED BACK TO AMP AND INSPECTED ACFT. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO EITHER THE LNDG GEAR OR PROPS. RESECURED DOOR, BRIEFED SUBSEQUENT TKOF, AND DEPARTED UNEVENTFULLY. THIS CHAIN OF EVENTS WAS CAUSED BY A FAULTY LATCH ON THE R DOOR LEADING TO THE DOOR NOT FULLY BEING LOCKED. DOOR WAS NOT SUFFICIENTLY CHKED AGAIN PRIOR TO TKOF. PF THOUGHT HE HAD MORE RWY REMAINING THAN HE ACTUALLY HAD. PF STATED AFTERWARD HE SHOULD HAVE CONTINUED TKOF VERSUS REJECTING. WE BOTH BRIEFED THAT A DOOR OPENING ON TKOF IS NOT A REJECT ITEM.
