Narrative:

This was totally due to fatigue. The night before I was awakened by crank calls from my teenager's friend and after the one at XA00 was unable to get back to sleep, even though I tried until XI00. I discussed with friends my fatigue and considered calling in fatigued for the trip. The report time for the trip was XN00 that afternoon, ord-dca, dca-ord and ord-cle. I took the middle leg as it would be less tiring. On the knox 3 arrival to ord we are usually given runway 22R and I put that in the FMGC and briefed for a visual to runway 22R, backed up with the ILS. However, we were given a heading to intercept final to runway 22L and neither the first officer, nor I noticed the change. As I overshot the runway 22L localizer, intending to intercept the runway 22R localizer, the first officer said something, as he'd seen the runway 22L runway visually. I was mainly staying inside of the intercept. ATC also asked which runway we were going to and I returned to runway 22L and landed without event. No TCASII events occurred, although there was traffic that was pointed out to us turning a close final to runway 22R, but he was no factor to us. This is a clear case of complacency magnified by exhaustion. The first officer flew the last leg that night and then we had less than 10 hours in the hotel in cle, which was not enough to replenish me, being so exhausted, as I was able to only get 6 hours sleep. The next am we deadheaded cle-ord and I called in fatigued on the deadhead, refusing my next 2 legs, a dca turn.

Title: FATIGUED FLT CREW OF A319, ANTICIPATING APCH TO RWY 22R AT ORD FAILS TO REPROGRAM FMGC WHEN CLRED FOR AN APCH TO RWY 22L. FLY THROUGH FINAL APCH COURSE BEFORE RECOGNIZING THEIR ERROR.

Narrative: THIS WAS TOTALLY DUE TO FATIGUE. THE RPT TIME FOR THE TRIP WAS XN00 THAT AFTERNOON, ORD-DCA, DCA-ORD AND ORD-CLE. I TOOK THE MIDDLE LEG AS IT WOULD BE LESS TIRING. ON THE KNOX 3 ARR TO ORD WE ARE USUALLY GIVEN RWY 22R AND I PUT THAT IN THE FMGC AND BRIEFED FOR A VISUAL TO RWY 22R, BACKED UP WITH THE ILS. HOWEVER, WE WERE GIVEN A HEADING TO INTERCEPT FINAL TO RWY 22L AND NEITHER THE FO, NOR I NOTICED THE CHANGE. AS I OVERSHOT THE RWY 22L LOC, INTENDING TO INTERCEPT THE RWY 22R LOC, THE FO SAID SOMETHING, AS HE'D SEEN THE RWY 22L RWY VISUALLY. I WAS MAINLY STAYING INSIDE OF THE INTERCEPT. ATC ALSO ASKED WHICH RWY WE WERE GOING TO AND I RETURNED TO RWY 22L AND LANDED WITHOUT EVENT. NO TCASII EVENTS OCCURRED, ALTHOUGH THERE WAS TFC THAT WAS POINTED OUT TO US TURNING A CLOSE FINAL TO RWY 22R, BUT HE WAS NO FACTOR TO US. THIS IS A CLR CASE OF COMPLACENCY MAGNIFIED BY EXHAUSTION. THE FO FLEW THE LAST LEG THAT NIGHT AND THEN WE HAD LESS THAN 10 HRS IN THE HOTEL IN CLE, WHICH WAS NOT ENOUGH TO REPLENISH ME, BEING SO EXHAUSTED, AS I WAS ABLE TO ONLY GET 6 HRS SLEEP. THE NEXT AM WE DEADHEADED CLE-ORD AND I CALLED IN FATIGUED ON THE DEADHEAD, REFUSING MY NEXT 2 LEGS, A DCA TURN.
