Narrative:
A few mins after takeoff after requesting turns to avoid WX, departure control requested that we turn back towards the published SID. In attempts to accommodate departure control needs, aircraft encountered small areas of moderate turbulence. Autoplt was selected off. Assigned altitude was 16000 ft. Moderate turbulence created momentary altitude excursions of 450 ft high. Corrections were immediately applied towards 16000 ft. Aircraft exited areas of turbulence and autoplt was reengaged at assigned altitude.

Title: A B757 CAPT RPTED THAT AN ALT EXCURSION OCCURRED IN MIA'S AIRSPACE DUE TO TURB.
Narrative: A FEW MINS AFTER TKOF AFTER REQUESTING TURNS TO AVOID WX, DEP CTL REQUESTED THAT WE TURN BACK TOWARDS THE PUBLISHED SID. IN ATTEMPTS TO ACCOMMODATE DEP CTL NEEDS, ACFT ENCOUNTERED SMALL AREAS OF MODERATE TURB. AUTOPLT WAS SELECTED OFF. ASSIGNED ALT WAS 16000 FT. MODERATE TURB CREATED MOMENTARY ALT EXCURSIONS OF 450 FT HIGH. CORRECTIONS WERE IMMEDIATELY APPLIED TOWARDS 16000 FT. ACFT EXITED AREAS OF TURB AND AUTOPLT WAS REENGAGED AT ASSIGNED ALT.
