Narrative:
On nov/thu/03, a presidential tfr was issued for a 30 NM radius from a longitude/latitude point. After departing sanford at XA55, we flew to lakeland, then vero beach. On our way to vero beach, about 15 mi southwest of kissimmee, I decided to give kissimmee tower a call to find out the range of the tfr and have a better idea of the center of the tfr. They advised me to give mco approach a call. Meanwhile, I'm still on an easterly heading. After contacting approach, I was given a squawk code and told to identify. Approach tells me to turn sbound and informed me that I was inside the tfr. They provided me with a phone number to call when I landed. After calling, I explained that I wasn't 100% sure where the center of the tfr was. They took my information and was told the FSDO will be contacting me. My suggestion is, that airports (controled), especially those inside the tfr, start advising pilots through the ATIS everything about the upcoming tfr, starting with the first report in the morning when the tower opens. Especially after sep/11, there should be a little more propaganda throughout the aviation community to make sure that every pilot departing, arriving or transitioning near a tfr is advised and reminded through ATIS or first radio call. Hopefully, you can use this information to help the system reduce the amount of non threatening pilots caught inside a tfr.

Title: INSTRUCTOR PLT OF C177 ENTERS TFR IN FLORIDA.
Narrative: ON NOV/THU/03, A PRESIDENTIAL TFR WAS ISSUED FOR A 30 NM RADIUS FROM A LONGITUDE/LATITUDE POINT. AFTER DEPARTING SANFORD AT XA55, WE FLEW TO LAKELAND, THEN VERO BEACH. ON OUR WAY TO VERO BEACH, ABOUT 15 MI SW OF KISSIMMEE, I DECIDED TO GIVE KISSIMMEE TWR A CALL TO FIND OUT THE RANGE OF THE TFR AND HAVE A BETTER IDEA OF THE CTR OF THE TFR. THEY ADVISED ME TO GIVE MCO APCH A CALL. MEANWHILE, I'M STILL ON AN EASTERLY HEADING. AFTER CONTACTING APCH, I WAS GIVEN A SQUAWK CODE AND TOLD TO IDENT. APCH TELLS ME TO TURN SBOUND AND INFORMED ME THAT I WAS INSIDE THE TFR. THEY PROVIDED ME WITH A PHONE NUMBER TO CALL WHEN I LANDED. AFTER CALLING, I EXPLAINED THAT I WASN'T 100% SURE WHERE THE CTR OF THE TFR WAS. THEY TOOK MY INFO AND WAS TOLD THE FSDO WILL BE CONTACTING ME. MY SUGGESTION IS, THAT ARPTS (CTLED), ESPECIALLY THOSE INSIDE THE TFR, START ADVISING PLTS THROUGH THE ATIS EVERYTHING ABOUT THE UPCOMING TFR, STARTING WITH THE FIRST RPT IN THE MORNING WHEN THE TWR OPENS. ESPECIALLY AFTER SEP/11, THERE SHOULD BE A LITTLE MORE PROPAGANDA THROUGHOUT THE AVIATION COMMUNITY TO MAKE SURE THAT EVERY PLT DEPARTING, ARRIVING OR TRANSITIONING NEAR A TFR IS ADVISED AND REMINDED THROUGH ATIS OR FIRST RADIO CALL. HOPEFULLY, YOU CAN USE THIS INFO TO HELP THE SYS REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF NON THREATENING PLTS CAUGHT INSIDE A TFR.
