Narrative:
On nov/tue/03, the left forward gear box mount link was removed and replaced for a crack at the lower portion of the link on aircraft X #1 engine. Then on nov/sat/03, it was brought to my attention upon further inspection of the removed link (cracked link) that the bushing installed in the link was not a pressed fit bushing, but indeed a free floating bushing. That's when I realized the newly installed link didn't have a bushing installed in the upper portion of the gear box link. At that time, I notified local management and maintenance control and sent the necessary bushing and tooling to ZZZ for the repair. The repair was accomplished and documented, while the aircraft was on a 3 day layover (previously scheduled).

Narrative: ON NOV/TUE/03, THE L FORWARD GEAR BOX MOUNT LINK WAS REMOVED AND REPLACED FOR A CRACK AT THE LOWER PORTION OF THE LINK ON ACFT X #1 ENG. THEN ON NOV/SAT/03, IT WAS BROUGHT TO MY ATTN UPON FURTHER INSPECTION OF THE REMOVED LINK (CRACKED LINK) THAT THE BUSHING INSTALLED IN THE LINK WAS NOT A PRESSED FIT BUSHING, BUT INDEED A FREE FLOATING BUSHING. THAT'S WHEN I REALIZED THE NEWLY INSTALLED LINK DIDN'T HAVE A BUSHING INSTALLED IN THE UPPER PORTION OF THE GEAR BOX LINK. AT THAT TIME, I NOTIFIED LCL MGMNT AND MAINT CTL AND SENT THE NECESSARY BUSHING AND TOOLING TO ZZZ FOR THE REPAIR.
