Narrative:
I was aware of a tfr over pittsburg, PA, and fully intended to remain clear. I have recently (1 month) had the software on my commercial RNAV mfd (multi-function display) updated and did not realize the visual depiction of 30 NM mode C rings was no longer shown as it had been on previous versions. I wanted the airspace depiction showing the class B and thought it was the mode C line. I stayed out of the class B, but broke into the 30 NM ring which was at that moment, a tfr. Upon landing for fuel, I was told to call pit approach and was informed of my violation. This problem could have been prevented by more closely checking my VFR chart and not relying only on the GPS depiction.
