Narrative:
On arrival to ewr, on the FQM1 arrival, ATC directed us to cross sweet at 7000 ft. Got distraction during the descent, and at 9300 ft, noticed that the airspeed was 290 KTS. Immediately disconnected the autoplt, and leveled off to slow down to 250 KTS. The rest of the flight was uneventful. ATC never queried the speed.
