Narrative:
On descent into lax received word from back cabin that one of our passenger had collapsed. Notified ATC that we had a medical emergency on board. We were originally cleared for the paradise 4 arrival to runway 25L. ATC then cleared us for the paradise 4 arrival to runway 25R. With the number of communications both in and out of the aircraft plus changeover to new runway and arrival and with descent and approach checklists to do. We were approaching task saturation. Asked for assistance from socal approach and received vectors to intercept runway 25R localizer with dscnts called by ATC. Kept trying to get a visual to runway 25R but could not keep another aircraft (airbus) in sight that was on approach to runway 25L. Subsequently, switched to tower, cleared to land runway 25R, short taxi, passenger met by police and paramedics. Analysis: passing konzl at about 320-330 KTS we found ourselves with more things to do then we had time for. ATC (socal approach) helped greatly by removing the many restrs found on the lax arrs.

Title: A PAX COLLAPSED ON A B757 THAT WAS ON AN ARR TO LAX. THE FLT CREW DECLARED A MEDICAL EMER AND RECEIVED SOME ASSISTANCE FROM SCT TRACON.
Narrative: ON DSCNT INTO LAX RECEIVED WORD FROM BACK CABIN THAT ONE OF OUR PAX HAD COLLAPSED. NOTIFIED ATC THAT WE HAD A MEDICAL EMER ON BOARD. WE WERE ORIGINALLY CLRED FOR THE PARADISE 4 ARR TO RWY 25L. ATC THEN CLRED US FOR THE PARADISE 4 ARR TO RWY 25R. WITH THE NUMBER OF COMS BOTH IN AND OUT OF THE ACFT PLUS CHANGEOVER TO NEW RWY AND ARR AND WITH DSCNT AND APCH CHKLISTS TO DO. WE WERE APCHING TASK SATURATION. ASKED FOR ASSISTANCE FROM SOCAL APCH AND RECEIVED VECTORS TO INTERCEPT RWY 25R LOC WITH DSCNTS CALLED BY ATC. KEPT TRYING TO GET A VISUAL TO RWY 25R BUT COULD NOT KEEP ANOTHER ACFT (AIRBUS) IN SIGHT THAT WAS ON APCH TO RWY 25L. SUBSEQUENTLY, SWITCHED TO TWR, CLRED TO LAND RWY 25R, SHORT TAXI, PAX MET BY POLICE AND PARAMEDICS. ANALYSIS: PASSING KONZL AT ABOUT 320-330 KTS WE FOUND OURSELVES WITH MORE THINGS TO DO THEN WE HAD TIME FOR. ATC (SOCAL APCH) HELPED GREATLY BY REMOVING THE MANY RESTRS FOUND ON THE LAX ARRS.
