Narrative:
During annual inspection and records review, found FAA form 337 for aircraft recovering done by manufacturer's repair station not in permanent record. Requested records from aircraft registry in oklahoma. Upon review of FAA record, no 337 was filed. Review of records did not indicate process used and an assumption was made the process used was 'stits.' subsequent recovery of the r-hand wing and fuselage were treated as repairs and no 337's filed by repair station. During annual, repair was attempted to left wing which had not been recovered since total aircraft was recovered and it was discovered to be covered using the air tech process. This discovery confirms that 3 required 337's for major alteration were not completed. 1) for the total aircraft recover from the blue river process to air tech. 2) for the 4-HAND wing recover from air tech to stits. 3) for the fuselage recover from air tech to stits. Local FSDO will be contacted to provide guidance to correct defects.
