Narrative:
After takeoff, during the en route climb, I noticed oil pressure on the right (#2) engine dropped to the yellow arch. I reduced power on the #2 engine and requested a turn back to fll from mia approach. We were given a lower altitude by approach (5000 ft) when the oil pressure dropped below the red radial. I immediately shut down the #2 engine and declared an emergency. We landed at fll without any problems and exited the runway (runway 27R) on taxiway D where we stopped. After stopping clear of runway 27R, I was unable to taxi the aircraft on 1 engine. A tug was brought out and we tugged to the FBO without incident.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: SMT PLT WAS REQUIRED TO SHUT DOWN #2 ENG BECAUSE OF LOW OIL PRESSURE.
Narrative: AFTER TKOF, DURING THE ENRTE CLB, I NOTICED OIL PRESSURE ON THE R (#2) ENG DROPPED TO THE YELLOW ARCH. I REDUCED PWR ON THE #2 ENG AND REQUESTED A TURN BACK TO FLL FROM MIA APCH. WE WERE GIVEN A LOWER ALT BY APCH (5000 FT) WHEN THE OIL PRESSURE DROPPED BELOW THE RED RADIAL. I IMMEDIATELY SHUT DOWN THE #2 ENG AND DECLARED AN EMER. WE LANDED AT FLL WITHOUT ANY PROBS AND EXITED THE RWY (RWY 27R) ON TXWY D WHERE WE STOPPED. AFTER STOPPING CLR OF RWY 27R, I WAS UNABLE TO TAXI THE ACFT ON 1 ENG. A TUG WAS BROUGHT OUT AND WE TUGGED TO THE FBO WITHOUT INCIDENT.
