Narrative:

Location, holding short, cleared for takeoff. While waiting for takeoff on runway 22L the tower controller was making inappropriate remarks to aircraft taking off and landing. I understand the importance of expeditious arrivals and departures, but this borders on an unsafe practice. The controller was using a badgering tone of voice about not taking too long on the runway and expediting getting off. We try to do this anyways, within safety obligations. The aircraft that took off in front of us was given a running commentary of the distance out on final the aircraft landing on his takeoff runway was out. What if he had to make a call on tower frequency...it would have been blocked...this is wrong. His aggressive style caused our takeoff clearance call sign to be blocked. When we asked for req confirmation...he was irritated and said the clearance again in a snide manner, and it was something he caused. This controller will probably be rewarded, for getting airplanes out until there is an accident. His conduct at times is unsafe.

Narrative: LOCATION, HOLDING SHORT, CLRED FOR TAKEOFF. WHILE WAITING FOR TAKEOFF ON RWY 22L THE TWR CTLR WAS MAKING INAPPROPRIATE REMARKS TO ACFT TAKING OFF AND LNDG. I UNDERSTAND THE IMPORTANCE OF EXPEDITIOUS ARRIVALS AND DEPS, BUT THIS BORDERS ON AN UNSAFE PRACTICE. THE CTLR WAS USING A BADGERING TONE OF VOICE ABOUT NOT TAKING TOO LONG ON THE RWY AND EXPEDITING GETTING OFF. WE TRY TO DO THIS ANYWAYS, WITHIN SAFETY OBLIGATIONS. THE ACFT THAT TOOK OFF IN FRONT OF US WAS GIVEN A RUNNING COMMENTARY OF THE DISTANCE OUT ON FINAL THE ACFT LNDG ON HIS TAKEOFF RWY WAS OUT. WHAT IF HE HAD TO MAKE A CALL ON TWR FREQ...IT WOULD HAVE BEEN BLOCKED...THIS IS WRONG. HIS AGGRESSIVE STYLE CAUSED OUR TAKEOFF CLRNC CALL SIGN TO BE BLOCKED. WHEN WE ASKED FOR REQ CONFIRMATION...HE WAS IRRITATED AND SAID THE CLRNC AGAIN IN A SNIDE MANNER, AND IT WAS SOMETHING HE CAUSED. THIS CTLR WILL PROBABLY BE REWARDED, FOR GETTING AIRPLANES OUT UNTIL THERE IS AN ACCIDENT. HIS CONDUCT AT TIMES IS UNSAFE.
