The reporter said we were not aware if autoplt trim was operative as it was not connected. The reporter stated after landing maintenance checked out the system operational and self tests were ok and aircraft was returned to service. The reporter said an overweight inspection was accomplished and the flight was dispatched. The reporter stated the airplane was an overnight layover and no work was performed on graveyard shift, but the stabilizer actuators may have cold soaked as the temperature was low. The reporter said the control functions were normal prior to takeoff.
